Inline Plastic Body Screen 1¼ inch BSP

Part Number LP125-035M

Blue plastic inline insect screen, comprising a cylinderical body, with clip-on lid, having two 1.25 inch BSP male threaded connections at the base.   Click here to view full screen image

This is one of a range of inline plastic screens with male BSP connections in sizes from 1 inch to 2 inch.

The plastic cap may be removed to permit the cleaning or replacement of the insect screen. A clear 125mm is required above the cap to allow for removal of the screen.

The screen is rated to ½ bar. Do not mount it more than 1 metre vertically below the highest point of the overflow pipe.

The screen can be mounted in vertical, horizontal or inclined pipe. If mounted in a horizontal or inclined pipe, the body must not hang below the pipe.

The screen is not designed as a structural element. The pipework must be adequately supported, so that no load is transmitted to the plastic body.

1¼ inch steel or iron pipe

The screen may be fitted using normal 1¼ inch BSP threaded steel or malleable iron fittings. Depending upon the pipe layout, a union may be required to allow the screen to be removed later.

If space is restricted for threading the cut pipe, it may be easier to use steel pipe compression fittings with 1¼ inch BSP female sockets.

1¼ inch BS plastic pipe

The screen may be attached by solvent welding 1¼ inch BSP female connectors to the pipe and screwing these onto the screen. In some cases, it may be easier to fit the connectors to the screen body before solvent welding them in place.

35mm Copper Pipe

Two 35mm copper compression fitting adaptors with a 1¼ inch BSP female thread will be required for each screen.

Please note, we cannot supply any other BSP threaded fittings or any compression fittings referred to in this section.
