Inline Insect Screen 6 Inch Bore

Part Number LP600-000X

This screen is intended to be mounted in overflow pipes from water cisterns, to prevent the ingress of insects and vermin. The screen is a 57 micron type 304 stainless steel mesh mounted inside a section of Class C uPVC pipe. The screen area is at least 250% of the cross-sectional area of the pipe, to ensure there is no restriction to the flow of water.

The screen is supplied as a plain body for your own choice of solvent weld fixings to be applied. Take care when choosing the fittings to ensure that the screen can easily be removed for periodic inspection and cleaning.

The screen is rated to 0.5bar maximum pressure and we recommend that it should not be mounted more than one metre vertically below the highest point of the water outlet. It may be fitted into either vertical or horizontal sections of pipe.

The screen is not designed as a structural element and it is important to ensure that the pipe is supported so as to avoid any load being transmitted to the screen.
